For nearly three years now, everything has been linked to September 11th: the war in Iraq, our Civil Liberties, et cetera.
Over and over again, we are told when we criticize Shrub, "what about September 11th?", with the implication that we are refusing to honor the dead by criticizing him and his failed foreign and domestic policies. September 11th is supposed to justify increased domestic surveillance and the fear it engenders. It's supposed to justify our crappy economy, our lack of health care, our lack of any real security in our lives and jobs.
Shrub also believes that September 11th will also give him a mandate for a second term to impose an unwanted theocracy upon the rest of us, along with Social Darwinism. Screw that. I want a September 12th movement that says, "It's time to move on!"
